Located in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture, International Street is known locally as the “Main Street of Naha.” It’s situated near Duplex Makishi and is approximately a 15-minute drive from the airport.

・牧志公設市場 Makishi Public Market
沖縄では「胃袋」と呼ばれ、庶民の台所として親しまれている市場があります。精肉店や魚屋を中心に、漬物屋など約400店舗があり、購入した食材を2階の食堂で調理してもらい食べるのがおすすめです。2019年6月には建物や設備の老朽化のため閉鎖され、2023年3月19日にリニューアルオープンしました。
In Okinawa, there is a market known as the “stomach of Okinawa,” which is beloved as the kitchen of the common people. With approximately 400 shops, predominantly butcher shops and fishmongers, along with pickle vendors, it’s recommended to purchase ingredients and have them cooked in the second-floor dining area. In June 2019, the market was closed due to the aging of its building and facilities, and it reopened after renovation on March 19, 2023.
・壺屋やちむん通り Tsuboya Yachimun St.
やちむん通りには、民芸品や焼き物の直売店、焼き物工房などが並んでいます。今もなお、沖縄らしい赤瓦の屋根やのんびりとした町並みが特徴で、のんびりとした時間が流れています。
On Yachimun Street, you’ll find a row of folk art and pottery shops, as well as pottery workshops. Even now, the street retains a relaxed atmosphere with its characteristic Okinawan red-tiled roofs and leisurely townscape.
・栄町市場 Sakaemachi Market
沖縄の栄町市場には、地元の居酒屋がたくさんあり、沖縄の食文化を存分に楽しむことができます。新鮮な海産物や地元の食材を使った料理と一緒に、地元の雰囲気を味わえる場所です。特に夜は、活気に満ちた雰囲気の中で美味しい料理と地元のお酒を楽しむことができます。
